Education and Professional Background:

Faith Basiye is the Group Chief Risk Officer, appointed on 8th July 2024.

She was previously the Head of Forensic Services, KCB Group. She is a distinguished professional with over 26 years of expertise in risk management, legal advisory, compliance, and forensic investigation, and is instrumental in developing comprehensive risk management strategies across the Group, particularly in financial contexts.

Faith holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Studies. She also holds the following certificates: Certified Public Secretary (CPS) Kenya, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), and Computer Forensics Expert.

Faith's career spans pivotal roles in both public and private sectors, including Senior Fraud Manager at Safaricom Ltd and Forensic Manager at KPMG, where she specialized in financial crime management. Her tenure at the Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission focused on forensic investigation of corruption and economic crimes, highlighting her commitment to integrity and transparency.

Faith has been recognized for her contributions, including being named among the Top 40 under 40 Women in Kenya, two years running- 2012 and 2013, and recently she was named among the Top 50 Lawyers in Kenya and Top 10 Women Lawyers in Private Sector (In-house) practitioners during the Nairobi Legal Awards, 2024.Beyond her professional achievements, Faith is known for her dedication to mentoring and sports, embodying a balance of professional excellence and personal fulfillment.
